Collision Works is a true entrepreneurial success story. From its beginning in 1996, operating out of his home’s 2 car garage, owner Jacob Nossaman began a side business, doing what he knew the best: fixing cars. At first, it was the friend who had an occasional “fender-bender” and knew that he was the only one they trusted with their car, to the regular “fixer-upper”, that he would sell after repairing. Collision Works may have never been more than a dream, if it hadn’t been for unforeseen circumstances that required a swift overnight move. After relocating his home business, the first “shop” opened in an unseen location at 594 N. Miller in Oklahoma City in late 1996.

With a growing repeat customer base and the powerful word of mouth of those who knew Collision Works, Jacob began to envision opening a more customer friendly location. A location where people would be welcomed with a comfortable atmosphere, friendly customer service, and the “first-class” repair quality that the word of mouth reputation had made people come to expect.

The dream was realized in May of 2002 when a small 8,000 square-foot located at SE 29th and Bryant in Del City facility was opened to the public. Collision Works’ immediate growth was overwhelming. It was quickly learned that Collision Works had finally brought a much-needed service to the Oklahoma City area—QUALITY REPAIR, in a TIMELY MANNER, for a FAIR PRICE. Thus became the motto of Collision Works that all employees still operate by.

After 3 renovations and the addition of a state of the art refinishing center, Collision Works has continued to grow and establish itself as a fixture in the Oklahoma City collision repair business, where Service and Quality have become synonymous with the name Collision Works.

In 2006, a second store opened in Shawnee to provide customers with the same quality service and experience that Collision Works is known for. The new store offers a friendly atmosphere and the best technology available. Collision Works of Shawnee has quickly developed a reputation for providing quality service to the Shawnee community and surrounding areas.

In November 2013, Collision Works opened a 3rd store located in Norman, Oklahoma, conveniently located in East Norman, near Robinson and Flood Avenue. Two more stores were added to the mix in 2014 when Collision Works acquired Darrin’s in Newcastle and opened up a new shop facility in Edmond.

In 2015, Collision Works acquired Duvak’s Collision Center in Ardmore, Oklahoma, bringing the total amount of stores in the Collision Works family to six. We have the latest technology for collision repair, with the same high quality service and friendly atmosphere that you would expect from Collision Works. In 2016 Collision Works entered the Tulsa metro market with its Broken Arrow body shop, which opened late Spring and purchased Bodyworks of Tulsa in December of the same year. Additionally, the company purchased AutoMasters, a multi-shop collision repair company located in the Wichita Metro Market, in August of 2016. Since then, Collision Works also expanded their share of the OKC Metro Market with its purchase of Dyer’s Collision & Frame Repair in Oklahoma City and its newly built location in Yukon. The company plans to open 3 more locations (2 in the Tulsa area and 1 in the OKC Metro) before the end of 2017.

With all this growth, it is no surprise that in 2016 Collision Works was named as one of the fastest growing companies in the United States by Inc. 5000 Magazine. This growth would not be possible without the leadership and vision of Nossaman – It’s no wonder Jake has been honored several times as one of the ‘Most Admired CEOs’. His leadership and vision, coupled with the companies family atmosphere and commitment to customer service and quality, continues to push Collision Works forward in their growth -the sky is the limit.

Jake Nossaman has always been a natural entrepreneur. In fact, the Oklahoma native began his first “business” when he was just a boy. If he wanted a new bicycle, he would figure out a way to get it. He would trade his bicycle for another or would buy one and fix it up. With those natural skills, Nossaman was destined to own his own business. At the age of twenty, he quit a job painting airplanes, despite his grandfather cautioning him that he was quitting the job of a lifetime; he cashed in his $5,000 thrift account, secured a loan from a bank, and Collision Works LLC was born.

Today, Nossaman, has grown his small collision repair business from 1 location to 12 locations. Jake is opening his 13th location in Yukon this summer. His company ranked 9th among Oklahoma companies with less than 125 employees in the Daily Oklahoman’s 2014 Top Workplaces list and made the “Metro 50” in 2015. Nossaman is a 3-time honoree by the Journal Record as being one of “Oklahoma’s Most Admired CEO’s”. Jake is humbled and honored to be receiving the award again this year. His company, which currently employs about 185 people, is on target to reach a projected $36 million in annual revenues this year. Nossaman’s leadership style is twofold. He aggressively ensures that employees are trained and certified on the latest collision repair techniques, as well as equipping shops with some of the newest technology available.

Jake’s vision is to create a work environment that offers opportunities for team members to achieve their goals and grow both professionally and personally . This vision drives Nossaman to build up his team in a way that consistently guarantees the satisfaction of customers as well as the success of his company. Giving people the tools they need in order to be successful at what they do and creating an atmosphere where they enjoy working, has been one of the keys to Nossaman’s success.

Nossaman’s unwillingness to compromise on quality and processes has allowed Collision Works to grow rapidly over the past few years. It is that burning commitment to provide the best and be the best that keeps Jake Nossaman always looking for ways to improve processes, learn new techniques that create a competitive edge, and to stay up on the latest technology for collision repair. The employees at Collision Works are part of Jake’s family, part o f his team, and part of the driving force that has a “buy in” to the continued success of the company on an internal level, while externally the focus is on making customers for life. Jake is the oil that keeps the Collision Works team running like a well-oiled machine.
